Pre-Algebra 1 Class (G5-6/7)
Without a solid foundation in pre-algebra, students may suffer academically when they take upper level math courses. In addition, pre-algebra is a very important topic in middle-school math competitions (such as AMC 8, MathCounts, and MOEMS) and even tested in high-school standardized tests (SAT math, ACT math, and SAT math 2).
To help G5 or G6 students best prepare for pre-algebra, we are offering an introductory pre-algebra class, covering important topics for G5 and G6 students, particularly arithmetic properties, exponents, basic number theory, fractions, and decimals. More importantly, we will learn those topics at a much deeper level than what students do at a typical classroom.
Target Learners: G5-6/7 Students
Class Time: 5/9-6/27 Sat, 5:30pm-7:00pm
Duration: 8 weeks, 12 hours
