Students will read complex and nuanced novels that have stood the test of time. We will examine the thematic content and messages of these texts, which include issues of free-will, justice, and individualization. In doing so, students will also learn how to read and analyze work of literature that contains advanced writing and syntax. An analytical essay will be assigned and written upon completion of the first novel.
